"What is the name?!"
This is by far our most frequently asked question, and at times is paired with the misconception that we are not "family friendly" or "faith based"
We get it! However, that could not be further from the truth...
This business has been built on family tradition, hard work, and a whole lot of faith - we truly wouldn't exist without all of these.
In 1976, the name "Ragged Ass" was comically branded by Richard Rowe (2nd Generation).
If you've ever tapped hundreds of trees, hand collected sap in knee deep snow, and boiled into all hours of the night just to produce a few gallons of syrup, then you most certainly know how ragged ass tired sapping can make you. And thus, Ragged Ass Syrup Company was born!
Just as our core values have held strong, so will RASC!
We're proud to be the 4th generation of RASC sappers and look forward to instilling the importance of faith, hard work, and true authenticity into our 5th generation saplings.

USDA Certified Organic Maple Syrup
Isn't real maple syrup already organic? The simple answer is "no"
While maple syrup is a naturally derived product, there is a strict standard that must be met while harvesting and during production in order for it to be considered certified organic.
At Ragged Ass Syrup Company, we work hard to uphold this certification by ensuring that our methods do not use any pesticides or harsh chemicals on or around our maple farm. Through our harvesting and production practices you can rest assured that you are consuming a truly organic product!
